Tally Ho!
Professional armies attempt to dehumanize the enemy in order to make it easier for young, inexperienced soldiers to kill them without hesitation or regret. Armies usually accomplish this by citing the horribly uncivilized behavior of "the enemy." Ironically, the American public makes it easy for terrorists to kill without hesitation or regret by dehumanizing itself with routine displays of its own horribly uncivilized behavior. Here are a few of their stories.

My personal favorite soup is turtle soup, but your chicken soup recipe comes damn near second.
ReplyDeleteTake care man! Can't wait for the next batch! :)
I think you should write about Chris Dorner. Read his manifesto, he was an interesting guy and there's a lot of parallels between him and many school shooters.
ReplyDeleteBtw, where can I find your Izzy Kalman interview? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't an interview. Kalman and I have been e-mailing each other regularly over the past few months. I removed all of the Izzy Kalman posts except the initial one and I completely rewrote that one. He is the only person I've wrote about who has bothered to communicate with me in an articulate manner and I've come to respect him for it. I don't agree with what he's doing, but at least he's willing to communicate. Don't hold your breath waiting for Frank DeAngelis to follow Kalman's lead. I'm not.
